Carmel Icaraizinho Hotel is set within a coastal landscape of dunes, vegetation and ocean at Ceará, Brazil, and is inserted with minimal disturbance to the terrain. Horizontal volumes are arranged with controlled setbacks, preserving topography and continuity between form and nature. Timber, stone and textured finishes are used consistently across architecture and interiors – both conceived by a single design practice, ensuring cohesion. Drawn as a network of interwoven paths, circulation links the suites, while elevated tented wooden units provide cross ventilation, shading and framed views.
