Le Grand-Espace is a landmark performing arts venue dedicated to youth-oriented productions that enrich the cultural landscape of Quebec’s Estrie region. Set back from the street, the building creates a public forecourt that strengthens its civic presence and connects the performance space to the city. A double-height lobby, illuminated through a red glass facade, creates changing atmospheres throughout the day. At its core, a flexible black box theatre with retractable seating adapts to diverse artistic projects while fostering intimate relationships between performers and audiences.
