The Breathing Server

Located near Seattle’s Olympic Park waterfront, The Breathing Server reimagines the data center as ecological infrastructure integrated with public landscape. The project combines green roofs, water curtain systems, and cooling facades to reduce heat gain and improve energy performance while creating an immersive architectural experience. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest climate, the design merges technology with nature through accessible park spaces and environmental systems. Physical experiments and digital analysis tools were used to compare the proposal with a conventional baseline model.
