Terrorism divides through fear; architecture rebuilds social ties through hidden connections. Mosul’s old city has been repeatedly devastated by war and terrorism. Its once lively streets now lie in ruins. From a humanitarian perspective, this project transforms symbols of war into spatial design. It proposes a post-war reconstruction complex that provides housing, food, water, and education for local residents.
