Living Roman Reservoir reactivates a historic Roman cistern as a self-sustaining indoor botanic garden where water, architecture, and vegetation operate as one living system. The project restores the ruin's hydraulic function - rainwater is collected and recirculated through a closed-loop system inspired by Roman aqueduct logic, supporting irrigation and passive cooling. Pool above casts shimmering reflections into the underground space bringing life to the spatial experience. Arches from the original language extend throughout the project—from reception spaces to unique planters.
