Located at the center of the Shine Hills plaza in Beijing, the project is a public space that opens and closes vertically. With a 360-degree presence and openness, it transforms continuously between states: fully open, it unfolds like a public stage; half open, it balances engagement with shelter; closed, it becomes quiet and introverted. The roof spans over 40 square meters when expanded, with interior clear heights ranging from 2.5 to 4.2 meters, offering genuine spatial scale for lingering and reading, allowing the architecture to participate in the events that unfold within it.
