Villa Verde reinterprets a 1930 Historic Cottage in Coral Gables through a strategy of subtraction and precision. Non-original layers are removed to recover the original architectural logic, preserving the double-height living space with its Pecky Cypress ceiling, restored cedar wood floors, stucco walls, and original fireplace. A kitchen expansion and integration with the dining and living areas, together with a new covered terrace, enhance spatial continuity and indoor–outdoor living, balancing preservation with contemporary transformation while incorporating handcrafted materials and tiles.
