Studio ZNA collaborated with JA Projects, Studio Mutt and APFEL, delivering the lighting for permanent galleries & front house spaces at the new V&A East Museum, part of East Bank development. Lighting creates a sense of welcome, dissolving thresholds between public realm and gallery space so visitors feel like participants, not just observers. Why We Make, spanning two galleries across two floors incorporate street and market inspired lit signage celebrating cultural connections. Each object is individually considered, with lighting responding to its materiality, scale and conservation needs.
