Incense burning is an essential folk practice in Taiwan. This project transforms discarded incense ash into lighting objects with both functional and emotional value through material experimentation and design. By developing translucent incense ash paper and incense-stick dyeing techniques, and integrating a folded structure inspired by temple lanterns, the design reinterprets religious by-products as everyday objects that carry blessings.
