“DEEP GREEN” is an independent exhibition responding to the 2023 Venice Biennale’s theme “Laboratory of the Future.” The curatorial approach reframes the loss of locality in China’s rural urbanization in the international context, through eight rural revitalization strategies, proposing a shift beyond technical “green building” toward cultural, social, and energy-based understandings. A modular system of lightweight timber frame and recycled pallets enables rapid assembly, reuse, and minimal intervention, complemented by interactive installations and a virtual extension.
