Judson’s Live, located at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, is a 150-seat multivalent jazz room that echoes jazz’s unique rhythm and fluidity. The room inhabits a large, existing concrete walled rehearsal studio. During its construction, Judson Green – a board member, business leader and amateur jazz musician – proposed to benefact its transformation into a jazz/club/community room. The enveloping undulating wood wave walls transform the room into a sensuous instrument for sound and feeling. Judson’s Live’s multivalence embodies the DPC’s slogan, “Arts for Every Life.
