This project transforms the Sugimoto Family Kura (a 1915 Nagoya historical asset) into a custom kitchen showroom. Located by the historic Horikawa Canal, the design channels a legacy of prosperity into a "wave of light," symbolizing hope and creativity. Custom lighting leads visitors to the second floor, where the kitchen—inspired by its brand's stone origins—features a rugged, minimalist form with chamfered edges. The handrail integrates the Sen'nari Hyōtan (thousand gourds) of warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi, symbolizing the client’s ambition to expand from Nagoya to the world.
