Profiles of prisoners murdered in the German camp. The cover is based on the premise that commemoration can be expressed through radical reduction. The front remains free of information; materiality, symbol and formal restraint replace literal narration and WWII iconography. Hand-marbled paper gives each copy an individual character —a metaphorical trace of personal memory within collective experience. A synthesized “Insurgent Cross” forms the central sign and foundation of the series’ visual system. Typography limited to the spine reinforces the contemplative, autonomous character of the form
