More than ten years ago, we set out to build a new residential and commercial building in Vals, Grisons. As a family company with generations of experience in stone and its architectural applications, finding the right architect was a key step. Our goal was to create a building that would blend naturally into the traditional mountain village while not appearing out of place. At the same time, we sought innovative forms and materials. Stone, together with wood, metal, and glass, was to play a central role. In Kengo Kuma, we found the ideal partner to realize our vision.
