“Jiù Garden” in Penang’s Auto City transforms a vacant lot into an outdoor dining space celebrating recycled materials. Its entrance archway, built from discarded scaffolding, scrap metal, and old machine parts, features “旧” formed with plastic bottles and illuminated by color-changing LED lights. The plant-filled dining area includes four stalls with colorful recycled furniture and décor from reclaimed wood and ironwork. “Dong Bei Tiao,” “Yugumi Yogurt,” and “Ah Bing Gor” use wheel rims, corrugated iron, and zinc sheets, expressing an industrial aesthetic rooted in sustainability and reuse.
