Gewu Study House relocates the dojo environment to the top floor of a skyscraper. Tradition meets modernity, offering those under high urban pressure a pure sanctuary to return to nature and rediscover themselves. Wood serves as the primary structure; bamboo forms the dojo walls and hanging screens; earth coats the corridor floor and ceiling. Harnessing the inherent properties of these materials in dialogue with the surroundings, the interior achieves a naturally regulated microclimate. All materials can later return to the ecological cycle, leaving zero pollution.
