This study examines the impact of using a generative AI human character instead of a robot in unmanned café services. Participants evaluated customer experience, uncanny valley effects, and taste expectations by watching videos of a robot and an AI human preparing coffee. Results showed that the AI human condition led to more positive customer experiences and higher taste expectations, with significant differences compared to the robot condition. However, no significant difference was found in uncanny psychological responses.
