Maxcanú Station, part of the Tren Maya network, is conceived as a transitional space for rest and contemplation, it turns waiting into a connection with nature and the terracotta tones of the nearby colonial town. Its open curved volume captures controlled eastern light with brise-soleils and closes to the west. A semi-arid garden recalls the Maya patio and murals. Built over archaeological remains and cenotes, it uses shallow foundations, a metal frame, and reinforced masonry, ensuring seismic resistance, low maintenance, and respectful integration for travelers and the local community.
