Aster, Chef Joshua Paris’s new restaurant, takes its name from the star-shaped flower. Its design abstracts the bloom into spatial geometry: a central disc, radiating petals, and layered bouquets. The open kitchen, chef’s counter, and central bar form a vibrant core where diners witness Michelin-level craft unfold. Above, thirty-nine modular frames suspend translucent violet petals in recycled xuan paper, side-lit like a drifting nebula. A sustainable system allows petals to be re-dyed and frames reused, while oak, stone, and clay ground the space in warmth.
