The Iconic Monolithic Towers at Mawkhanu reinterpret Meghalaya’s ancient tradition as contemporary cultural architecture. Inspired by the clustered menhirs of the Khasi & Jaintia Hills, the complex comprises a group of slender, faceted towers linked by an elevated circular bridge that functions as a cultural promenade. Abstracting the monolith’s verticality, gravitas & collective symbolism, the design unfolds as an immersive cultural procession where landscape, memory, community & architecture converge, transforming ancestral heritage into a living, participatory landmark for cultural tourism.
