In terms of design techniques, based on the original axisymmetric layout of the site, the design extends the cultural context of the campus and creates a floor plan with a distinct sense of sequence and spatial hierarchy. Multiple design strategies are adopted to enrich the spatial layering and fluidity, including adding cantilevered platforms connected to public passages, widening the atrium staircase to create a casual reading step-seating area, and expanding the open learning spaces.
