For almost a century, Wilhelmstraße 118 was a leading Berlin address for bookbinding. Lüderitz & Bauer equipped their “Buchgewerbehaus” with state-of-the-art technology. Tenants like Monotype and Olympia tied the site to printing, while the Rausch chocolate factory and the Schwechten piano makers also shaped its story. A new office building now adds modern commercial space, and Studio Gourdin’s wayfinding system continues the ensemble’s historical narrative.
