Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya is a Palestinian Md who served as the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip until its evacuation in December 27, 2024. Abu Safiya was arrested by Israeli soldiers. He has been detained in Israeli military prison since, without any charges. Information about him, his health and general conditions, is not disclosed by Israeli authorities. On 16 October 2025, an Israeli court extended Abu Safiya's administrative detention for a further six months.
