Professor Ben Nanzai of the Non-Equilibrium Interface Chemistry Laboratory at a Japanese university requested branding for his lab. Professor Banzai's research applies spontaneous interfacial convection. To visualize the interface phenomena, we conceived of using photography. We visualized the motif by heating plastic to soften it, then illuminating it to capture the resulting refraction and dispersion of light.
