The intervention in this 1980’s modernist apartment in Kifissia aims to retain the apartment’s relationship with modernist architecture, while also adapting to the needs of its' contemporary users. Color becomes a key compositional element, creating distinct zones within space and a constant play of contrasts between warm and cool tones. The dialogue also continues between existing and proposed materials, which complement each other and create subtle modernist references. At the same time, natural materials are highlighted, enhancing the apartment’s relationship with the natural landscape.
