Forest of Stone Museum is a museum that protects stone tablets as cultural relics. The old Museum is a Confucian temple , founded in 1087 AD. The newly expanded building is located on the north side of the Confucian Temple, surrounded by the historical district and adjacent to the ancient city wall of Xi'an. The design strategy is to transform the Museum from a closed "China's largest stone library" to a "museum park" for citizens to walk, explore, learn, and communicate with on a daily basis. The new Museum continues the central axis of the Confucian Temple, maintaining the integrity with it.
