This project rethinks traditional Chinese gardens by moving beyond pavilions and rockeries to focus on elements like water, air, texture, and black-white contrast. The clubhouse is fully embedded underground with a reflective water surface, creating the effect of “seeing the garden rather than the building.” Light wells link landscape and architecture, while a Song-inspired stacked beam arch bridge contrasts ancient and modern. Using imperial kiln bricks, polished marble, and sustainable materials, the design balances cultural heritage, function, and contemporary aesthetics.
