LXIV is a holistic re-imagining of a fragmented, ten bedroom 19th century DC estate into a unified, six bedroom modern home that honors its historic roots. Original elements - fireplaces, plaster medallions and parquet floors - were restored while custom millwork, modern fixtures, panoramic garden views, and a new skylit spiral staircase, create cohesion and sensory depth. Sculptural furnishings, tons of hand-applied clay plaster, and a focus on directing natural light speak story and soul into the home. The result is a residence that feels both timeless and innovative, yet rooted in place.
