The complex of residential buildings we designed is adjacent to modernist residential buildings from the interwar period. Modernist architecture of this period was characterized by a simple, elegant and modern aesthetic. The perforation of the blinds was designed based on and in reference to Stanisław Wyspiański’s painting “Plants at Dawn”. Closing the blinds completely reveals the hidden image. The pattern of trees and the color of the wood of the blinds should also refer to the surrounding greenery. Taking care of ecology, the project uses photovoltaic panels and rainwater collection.
