“Syntax of Visual” is a conceptual design exhibition inspired by Paul Martin Lester’s theory of visual communication, which champions the equal power of words and images. The visual identity system of this exhibition explores the dynamic interplay between text and image through a custom black-and-white typeface that blurs the boundaries between language and form. It invites creatives to dwell in the space between word and image—to breathe among lines, shapes, typography, and visual symbols—and to attune themselves to the subtle dialogue that emerges when visuals and language speak as one.
