The specimen showcases the Montoya typeface through a fictional crime document about the rediscovery of a typeface “erased from history.” Fake archive documents serve as mockups, and the story-like framing highlights a relevant issue: in an age of fake news and forged documents, we often feel suspicious and overwhelmed by new information. Montoya was designed by Bendegúz Batke from the Hungarian studio Ugly but Useless.
