We conducted a field visit to the birthplace of the Miaoli Hakka Yunhuolong Festival in Taiwan. Through interviews with the inheritor, we explored intricate straw weaving techniques and the festival’s core spirit—unity and blessing. Incorporating straw elements into our design, we convey themes of unity, blessing, and the natural cycle of annual straw renewal, reflecting sustainability. Using 3D light-curing printing with transparent materials, the incense holder echoes the warm translucency of glazed glass, capturing light and shadow while blending tradition with modern aesthetics.
