To reduce agricultural waste, we repurpose discarded water bamboo husks from Nantou and blend them with pulp to create sustainable seedling bags. Harnessing the husks’ natural fibers, waxy surface, water retention, and insulation—as well as their polyphenols and fungal symbiosis—these bags offer an ideal environment for seedlings. As an eco-friendly alternative to PS and PP trays, they decompose naturally in soil, reduce microplastic pollution, and enrich the earth to support healthier plant growth.
