Jugaatronics addresses the fastest-growing waste stream, Electronic Waste, by designing a system of repurposable consumer electronics inspired by Jugaad, a frugal innovation informal practice in India. By highlighting the throwaway culture, it reimagines product lifecycles at different stages of "death" through adaptable design, demonstrated via a hairdryer that can be repurposed to a desk fan, vacuum cleaner, fabric shaver, clothes steamer and the external housing into a vase and organiser. The project includes an app, website, and open-source system promoting a user-centric community.
