Bamboo weaving is a time-honored craft in China, traditionally used to create containers and everyday objects. Woven Out takes a bold leap into the future by merging this ancient technique with computing art. Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese patterns, the artist models an impossible hyperboloid shape—one that cannot physically exist. By breaking mathematical boundaries, the artist divides the 3D form into 42 bamboo panels, weaving and sewing them into reality. This work pushes the craft forward, blending heritage with modern technology.
