Located at an old pier in Shipu Town, an important fishing town in China , the design renovates the pier’s passageway building to be a visitor station which provides rest space for visitors and preserves the passageway function. The "Fishermen Light Cinema" is not a traditional cinema, it is a “stage” that carries the stories of the pier life. The translucent facade becomes the screen which reflects people’s movement in the passageway and show the film of the real life at the pier. The extended meditation space let people overlook the pier from a new perspective, feel about the hopeful future.
