The Shinnecock Nation Resort transforms a portion of the tribe’s land on Long Island’s Peconic Bay to a multi-use complex that is a source of tribal pride and income. The resort includes a convention center, a 5-star resort, restaurants, a wellness center, duplex bungalows, a longhouse, a recreation facility, and walking trails. Committed to density and to preserving open space, we developed these programs in just 20 acres, leaving 80 acres for future development or ceremonial use. Still, the plan manages to preserve a sense of spaciousness and a deference to the land and water.
