Beach Bloom, a lifeguard tower on a UAE beach, balances cultural and environmental sustainability by integrating local design elements. Inspired by Muqarnas, its arabesque-patterned panels enhance passive environmental solutions, optimizing solar exposure and natural ventilation while paying homage to Arabic architectural traditions. The tower’s form features two semi-overlapping, curved fiberglass-reinforced layers, inspired by Dhow boats, offering shade and promoting lifeguard comfort through thoughtful design, material choice, and computer-aided performance analysis.
