The traditional material of 'Red Bricks' in Taiwan is translated into the contemporary 'Glass Bricks.' The 'House of River', facing a large river, features a double skin with various types of glass bricks randomly placed. These evoke the image of water, allowing residents to feel the beautiful surrounding nature more deeply while protecting the house from strong winds and the summer sun. The atmosphere in the living space changes magically throughout the day, as if underwater. At night, the illuminated glass bricks beautifully reflect the warm expression of the home towards the Xindian River.
