Publishing is a brilliant industry that allows for the sharing of knowledge and stories - however, the institution of publishing also separates readers from writers, and dictates the ‘proper, literary’ form in which those stories should be shared. During our final year at DAE, we decided to design a platform grounded in our firm beliefs that people are born storytellers, and that there are myriad ways in which to express that. Through 6 editions of our magazine, we published the work of over 230 people, and used considered, bold design to amplify the fact that their stories are worth hearing.
