The Conservation Legacy Center in Missoula, Montana will educate the public about the history and ongoing conservation work of the United States Forest Service. The Center will be an exhibit in itself, featuring tree like columns made of representative wood species throughout the US, various wood products developed with USFS Forest Products Lab, and an array of mass timber products such as cross laminated timber, glulams, LVLs, and Mass Plywood Panels. A generous south facing porch provides passive cooling, shading the center from hot summer sun while framing views of the mountains beyond.
