303 is an Italian restaurant in Shirahama, with picturesque view of Engetsu Island, a symbolic attraction in Wakayama prefecture, Japan. This local affinity with the sea inspired my design approach. I felt like incorporating this mesmerizing scenery into the space, leading me to choose textured glass as the material for the partitions. It interacts with the sunlight streaming in through the windows, creating a dynamic visual effect of sky and sea that changes accordingly. These elements contribute to incorporating the abstract essence of Shirahama Beach into the restaurant's design concept.
