Casa Alegria is a residence located in Zicatela, Oaxaca, on the southwest coast of Mexico. The project sought to achieve a strong sense of belonging and connection with the natural, cultural, and cultural environment. The mediterranean-inspired architectural style was chosen, together with the design, to foster an active beach environment and incorporate elements of vernacular architecture and local materials. The design prioritized openness, visual range and the connection between the interior and exterior spaces, creating unique dynamics of coexistence and habitability for the users.
