Coined Nakaniwa, the Japanese word for garden, this custom residence embodies principles of asymmetry, enclosure, and balance to create an immersive experience. Programmatically bifurcated, the plan unfolds as two non-parallel rectangles joined by a central garden. The garden itself acts as a circulation anchor and lightwell, providing separation between individual and gathering spaces. Traditional elements and organic accents harmoniously coexist with the modernity of concrete, metal, and glass, creating a seamless blend of old and new.
