Why must death be sad? The work is inspired by the traditional Chinese culture of clinking wine glasses, breaking the boundaries between life and death, and aims to provide people with a ritual experience of communicating with their deceased relatives. A wine glass appears on the front of the tombstone, encouraging people to establish a more intimate connection with their deceased relatives and friends, and share emotions, memories and respect through the action of clinking glasses. It is hoped that this design can bring people a unique mourning and commemorative experience.
