001, the pioneering speakeasy in Hong Kong, moved into the art and cultural centre of Tai Kwun, repurposed from the city’s oldest law enforcement compound. Considering continuity of the bar’s branding, the design blends cherished elements of the original 001, with the thematic touches inspired by Tai Kwun. The Blue Room intrigues with its inverted waffle ceiling, evoking an underground ambience, while the Green Room embraces warmth through timber and green hues. The two rooms blend Tai Kwun’s history and culture with creative twists, charming guests with nostalgia and stories.
