This restaurant offers a cuisine that combines dishes from around the world with Japanese identity. As a means of embodying Japanese tradition within the space, the idea emerged to illuminate rattan crafted by artisans from a specialist store in Hiroshima since 1926. In Japan, traditional rattan is commonly used as a framework for items like chairs. However, I envisioned creating a unique spatial accent by illuminating the intricacies of the rattan weave, crafted by these skilled artisans.
