We organized the interior spaces using curved geometry to encourage the interaction of tenants with their environment and each other. The experience begins in the lobby, which includes round walnut-stave ‘nodes’ that range in function from concierge desk, mailboxes, to a visitor area. The nodes are positioned against a bleached fir wall that curves to the main elevators, whose individual planks are staggered to allow natural light to seep through colored glass into the offices behind them. The vocabulary of curved nodes and vertical staves in both spaces we carried into the building.
