FTCSD is a fruit tree cooling device made from locally sourced bamboo in Africa. The FTCSD's dew collection system features a dual-layer design. The mist collection system captures moisture from the air through fine mesh created by bamboo weaving, taking advantage of the bamboo's high heat capacity and temperature differentials during the night to generate dew. When faced with high temperatures, farmers can activate the misting system by simply stepping on the bamboo pole at the bottom to provide cooling.
