Red track is an office space for a Nascar driver. The hyper compact layout includes a work station, conference area, kitchenette, storage, and custom displays containing trophies and memorabilia following the owner’s performance output. Main design influence was the streamline aesthetics of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey which helped the project evolve in a nuanced direction as opposed to literal representation of automotive clichés. Spatial elements showcased in the film; lighting repetition, prefabricated panel structures and minimalist details, have been translated to the design process.
